As a Radio Support Volunteer you should enjoy communicating to people and have some interest in radios although full training is provided. This worthwhile role will be varied and would suit someone who demonstrates patience and a willingness to help. Benefits

The British Wireless for the Blind Fund are looking for people to visit blind and partially sighted people in their homes to install their new radios and teach them how to use them as well as providing on-going support where needed. Volunteers don't have to be rocket scientists as the radios are just like the ones they have at home but they do need to be mobile and have a friendly disposition. The voluntary position is open to anyone aged over 18 who has access to transport and all travelling including petrol expenses are paid.
