Description

What will you be doing - Assisting at St Margaret’s Hospice functions and events, or running your own event.
Where - County-wide available, location to be decided on appliation.
When - Various times to suit applicant, no set hours required.
Frequency - To suit applicant.

This role is extremely varied, with no set time commitment, It offers an ideal opportunity for families to undertake fun activities together, while encouraging a sense of social responsibility and community support in children under the age of 18.

As a family unit you could:

- Manage a stall or game at one of our fetes or community events
- Manage a stall at larger events such as Glitter Runs and walks.
- Sell sunflowers at shows and events
- Assist at supermarket collections and bag packs
- Collect prizes for Tombolas and Raffles
- Assist at events selling raffle tickets
- Promote our events on community noticeboards.
- Design and run your own event.

Children and young people will learn a sense of social responsibility.

No special qualifications or experience needed. The role may be ideal for you if:
- you enjoy meeting a variety of people.
- you are friendly and outgoing.
- you enjoy variety.
- you are keen to raise vital funds for people living with a life limiting illness.

Organisation Description

We are committed to providing specialist palliative care, advice, support and respite to patients and their families living in Somerset and parts of neighbouring counties. Our care is available for those who have a terminal or life-limiting illness, for example cancer, motor neurone disease and chronic lung disease.
