Frome Furniture Shop Volunteers

Dorothy House Hospice Care - Somerset

Name: Frome Furniture Shop Volunteers
Organisation: Dorothy House Hospice Care - Somerset
Location: Unit 2 Wessex Fields, Frome, BA11 4DH
Type: Part Time
Various shifts available - if you can spare four hours once a week that would be great!

Description

Do you have some free time on your hands? Would you like to volunteer for a good cause? Would you like to be part of a great team of volunteers?

PAT Testers — we need a volunteer to help PAT test all the electrical donations we receive to make them ready for sale. We need people from Wednesday – Sunday, times are flexible so it could fit around existing commitments.

eBay Volunteers – a flexible role to help us research, sort and package items to sell on eBay. These get sent off on a Tuesday so would be a perfect weekend volunteer role but can work around your availability. We’d need you for around 4 hours per week and full training will be provided

Furniture Experts – no experience needed! Help needed in our ‘back of house’ sorting stock and preparing it for sale. You’ll be helping customers load up their cars and accepting donations so some customer service skills would be great. You’ll need to be able to move items of furniture around so physical strength would also be an asset. We need support with this every day!

Organisation Description

We provide compassionate care and support for people in our community with a life-limiting illness. Dorothy House focuses on quality of life, so patients can live well and die well.
We give care and support to patients and their families in Bath and north east Somerset and parts of Wiltshire and Somerset, whenever they need it; at home, in the hospice, or at one of our outreach centres. We respect the uniqueness of each patient and their family, and empower them to choose the type of care they receive.
