Would you like to help people in your community during the COVID-19 crisis? We've launched Corona Helpers, a new website where individuals can pledge their support and COVID-19 support groups can recruit and manage volunteers. Visit www.corona-helpers.co.uk. This means that we may take a little longer to reply to contact requests about opportunities that are not related to COVID-19 support, so please bear with us and thank you for your patience.

Accessibility

What is Accessibility?

Accessibility is the word used to describe whether a product (for example, a website, mobile site, digital TV interface or application) can be used by people of all abilities and disabilities.

For instance, a website is accessible if all people, including disabled and elderly people, can use it. We aim to ensure that all of our products are informative and entertaining to use as well as being accessible - this is called usability.

On a website, accessibility depends on how a person's disability affects the way they perceive information on a page and how they navigate within and between pages. You can control the elements that affect accessibility using the links on this page.
